Ligonier Art Walk: Saturday, September 15, 2018 | 10 AM - 5 PM

For the Ligonier Art Walk, G Squared Gallery will feature original works and prints by self-taught artist Seth Pitt whose art mixes imagination with reality, creating colorful visual art. The Art of Seth presents two themes: “Small Tales” is a series of illustrations and little stories created using mixed media collage. “Creatures of the Heart” is a collection of drawings hand drawn with fine art markers. He describes his art as “conceptual cartoon” and is inspired by the work of Dr. Seuss, Shel Silverstein, Saul Steinberg, Ralph Steadman, Edward Gorey and Luigi Serafini. Seth lives and works in Thomas, West Virginia.

About Jeff Brunner | Hey Beast Studio

Red Bear by Jeff BrunnerAfter not making artwork for over ten years following his undergraduate experience, Jeff Brunner was afraid of losing the creative momentum that he gained while working on a recent project. In 2012, he committed himself to produce an illustration a day and 365 Critters was born. Since then he has exhibited widely in the area, participating in events like Westmoreland Museum of American Art's @rt30, Pittsburgh's Handmade Arcade, Renegade Craft Fair: SXSW Edition in Austin, Texas, and Three Rivers Arts Festival, where he was awarded an emerging artist scholarship in 2014. In addition to making art, Jeff has also lead workshops and taught at Pittsburgh Center for the Arts, The Children’s Museum, and The Mattress Factory. Currently, he is an Atrium Artist at Union Project in Pittsburgh’s Highland Park neighborhood. Follow his work online at heybeast.com or on social media at @heybeast12.

      March 25, 2017 | 11 am - 1 pm

      Drury Design Co

To complement Ligonier's successful Soup's On! event, G Squared Gallery is hosting David Horner of Drury Design Co (Latrobe, PA). David is the maker of the beautiful hand-carved spoons that we've carried for several months. According to David, "Every piece is handmade in my small shop. And every piece will be a little different than the last. All are made from wood that is found locally in Pennsylvania. Each piece is something I want in my kitchen."

Although the Soup's On! event is sold-out, we invite you to come meet David and experience the art of fine craftsmanship as he presents a complete line of his hand-carved kitchen utensils.
