About Us

G Squared Gallery

Located in historic Ligonier, Pennsylvania, the fine art and contemporary craft gallery, G Squared, was established in 1995 by “H” and Pat Childs. Moving east from Colorado, the couple began a career in the gallery business with a dose of cash and a bigger dose of hope. The small village of Ligonier was a long-shot for a contemporary craft gallery as traditions are the core value of this small western Pennsylvania town. Twenty years later and surviving many bumps in the road, G Squared Gallery is firmly established as an integral part of the Ligonier community.

Our mission was, and is, to represent studio based artists from across the United States and Canada. We carry functional art for the home and an extensive selection of jewelry – all studio produced. Work that is not made in the US or Canada will reflect our style and will always have great value and design. Our motto, “Celebrating the imagination and creativity of the American Artist” says it all.

We are committed to the artist and their efforts to make a living at what they love to do – create art. And we are committed to giving our customers a comfortable and professional shopping experience.

We are located 1½ hours southeast of Pittsburgh, PA in the heart of the Allegheny mountains. Frank Lloyd Wright’s masterpiece “Fallingwater” is 45 minutes away. Pennsylvania's largest ski resort, Seven Springs Ski Area, is 30 minutes from us and there are many, many outdoor activities within minutes of town. This area is referred to as the “Laurel Highlands” and is home to a myriad of year-round activities. Biking, hiking, river rafting, golf, great fly fishing are just a few of the activities in the area. Fort Ligonier, established in 1758, is a completely reconstructed fort from the French and Indian War. For the family, we have Idlewild Park, Soak Zone and Storybook Forest. The gallery is open most months seven days a week. In the winter, it is closed on Monday, and open Tuesday through Sunday. Check out the homepage for current seasonal hours. The website is open 24/7.
